google.com/finance Google Finance is a site that provides headlines, financial information, and real time stock pricing data for a large number of corporations. This tutorial will show you some basic financial information that is available. At the top of the main page, Google Finance displays a top financial news story along with a chart index of major exchanges. If you scroll down, you will see a collection of more market related headlines. Clicking on the blue link will take you to that article. If you scroll down further, a list of corporate trends will be displayed showing recently popular companies being searched on Google and their net change in stock price for that day. At the bottom of the screen, Google Finance summarizes individual sectors as a whole. The green bar shows the percentage of companies that gained, with dark green representing gains greater than 2%, while the red bar indicates the opposite. Any segment of your home screen can be minimized, or moved up or down on the page by clicking the little dark arrow button to the left of the heading. Google Finance covers over 20 major stock exchanges around the world.
